You likely have a lot of money invested in your RV. Having a safe, secure space to store it will help protect your investment. There are three options for RV's storage. We have indoor climate controlled storage, indoor non climate controlled storage and outside parking. We offer complimentary monthly vehicle starting, free battery charging and an air compressor on site should you have a low tire. You always have access to your RV. Your gate code and the key to your padlock let you access your vehicle whenever you need it. All of our contracts are month to month. We have no administration fees or deposits. Ask about discounts for long term storage. There is controlled access from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and restricted access from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Each customer has their own unique security code to operate the gate. All gate and door activities are computer recorded. Security cameras are recorded 24 hours per day.

What Type of RV Storage Should I Use?

Indoor climate controlled RV’s storage is the best. Your RV is inside a secure building, safe from the damaging sun, where the temperature and humidity are controlled. This is often used for smaller RV's, and anyone concerned about preventing potential mold or mildew from the high Florida humidity. These are individual garages inside a concrete building with steel partitions. You lock the door and you keep the key. Many people often store other household goods in this type of garage. This is possible because the climate control keeps the temperature and humidity low enough to prevent mold and mildew. The buildings are inside a fenced, gated, access controlled property with pass code entry. Security cameras are recorded 24 hours per day. Each unit has its own security alarm. The buildings have sprinklers, smoke detectors and fire alarms.

Indoor non climate controlled RV’s storage is also a good option. Your RV is inside, safe from the damaging sun. This is similar to your garage at home. Your vehicle is safe and secure inside a concrete building with steel partitions. You lock the door and you keep the key. Other items can be stored in this unit with the RV. Items that are not sensitive to temperature and humidity, such as patio furniture and tools are often good choices. The buildings are inside a fenced, gated, access controlled property with pass code entry. Security cameras are recorded 24 hours per day. Each unit has its own security alarm. The buildings have sprinklers, smoke detectors and fire alarms.

Outdoor RV’s storage is also available. This option is the most economical. Many RV owners use this option when home owners associations prohibit parking of RV's or boats. The RV's are stored inside a fenced, gated property with pass code entry, well lit, and access controlled. The property has security cameras that are recorded 24 hours per day. There is an onsite manager living at the outdoor storage area for added security.

We offer a number of complimentary services while you store you RV with us. We will start your RV each month if you like. This helps keep the oil and fluids circulating and may help prevent seals from drying out. We will charge your battery if it runs low while in storage. How Should I Prepare My RV for Storage?

Below is a check list of things you may want to consider before putting your RV in storage. The longer you plan on storing the RV, the more things down the list you may want to consider.

• Exterior: It’s a good idea to wash and wax your RV before you store it. Bird and bug residue left on paint for long periods may cause damage to the finish. This is especially important if it is love bug season here in Florida. The acidity of the dead love bugs can cause pits and etches in automotive paint. Clean the rooftop air conditioner filters and cover the outside unit. Turn off propane cylinders and cover the regulator. A cover will help keep dust off the RV, but is more important if you are storing outside to keep the sun off the vehicle. If you don't use a full cover, consider tire covers to help prevent sun damage and dry rot.  Spray lubricant into the locks to prevent rust. Empty and rinse the holding tanks. For long term storage, cover the vents to the range hood and furnace.

• Interior: Clean and vacuum the interior. Don't forget food crumbs or wrappers under the seats. Remove food from the cabinets and refrigerator. Turn the refrigerator off. Be sure to check all power sources such as 12 v and LP gas. Clean the refrigerator and leave the door open to ventilate. Food may attract unwanted insects. If you clean the interior or carpet, make sure it is dry before storing to prevent mildew. Make sure all the windows and vents are closed. If your storage unit is not climate controlled you may want to put a desiccant, such as Damp Rid, inside the vehicle.

• Fuel: Fill the gas tank but don't overfill to help prevent moisture from condensing in an empty tank and causing rust and corrosion. For longer storage periods you may want to consider adding a fuel stabilizer, such as STA-BIL. It is a good idea to drive the vehicle about 10 miles after adding the fuel stabilizer so it can circulate through the entire fuel system.

• Tires: Add about 10 pounds of pressure to each tire to help prevent flat spots. If flat spots do develop, they often go away once the RV has been driven for about 25 miles.

• Battery: There are differing thoughts on what to do with the battery. Disconnecting the battery will help it keep its charge longer. Disconnecting will usually cause the clock, radio and other electronics to be reset once you connect the battery again. Leaving the battery connected will power the electronic items. This will cause the battery to discharge faster. As the battery runs down, we can periodically charge the battery for you. There is no charge for this service. It is best if the battery terminals are cleaned before putting the vehicle in storage. Coat the terminals with grease or a battery terminal spray to help prevent new corrosion.

• Oil: Changing the oil and filter is a good idea before storing a vehicle for a longer period of time. The used oil contains acids, moisture and other contaminants. Drive the vehicle for about ten miles after changing the oil so the new oil can circulate through the engine before putting the vehicle in storage.

• Windshield wipers: Some people also remove their windshield wipers if their RV will be stored for a long time. This can prevent the wiper from developing a permanent curve.

Review the owner’s manual for other things that may be specific to your RV such as LP gas, generator, water heater and sanitation system storage. Use the above check list when removing your RV from storage so you don't over look anything in getting the vehicle ready for the road again.
